Garmin Nuvi 750 GPS

garmin nuvi 750 GPSThe quality and functionality of the Garmin nuvi range has always been great and the Garmin nuvi 750 GPS is no exception. While Bluetooth doesn't come standard with the 750 like it does with some of the later nuvi models, it's not really a feature that you'll miss terribly.

Widescreen Display

The screen is widescreen so you do get to see more of the map on screen which is good. This means that you can see up to 70% more screen area than the 3.5 inch GPS's.

We also like that you can upload your favorite songs or books on tape (even photos) onto this which is a feature that I didn't think I'd use but do all the time. It will stop your song to give you the next instructions and then resume your song afterwards.

It looks cool too with a shiny silver cover.

What is great about the Garmin nuvi 750 GPS

The voice instructions are very clear and precise and you can put also use this nav with motorcycles using a MP3 jack plugged into the stereo of your bike.

It's much easier to use than trying to find your way with a street directory or map and because it has hotels and other major points of interest included, when you are travelling it's a must, especially if it's late at night and you are trying to find your hotel!

The battery life of this seemed to last longer than other nuvi's I've used and according to the website it is supposed to last around 5 hours (which seems about right from what I've seen).

Many other sat nav's don't have multi point routing which I think is a great feature since it doesn't always suggest the quickest route and you can change things along the way very quickly and easily.

What we didn't like about the Garmin nuvi 750 GPS

For me it took a few minutes before it locked onto the satellite system, and I can understand that this can be frustrating when you are driving wondering if you are ever going to get a signal, but once it did lock on, we didn't lose the signal once and it was very strong the whole trip.

The estimated time of arrival (ETA) was a little flawed (bit then I have found that with many GPS systems I've used including the Garmin nuvi 270 GPS) because it calculates the time based on perfect traffic which we all know almost never happens (or at least it doesn't for me). It does adjust this during your trip however.
