Garmin Nuvi 370 GPS
If (and when) it comes back into stock at places like Amazon you'll really enjoy this inexpensive GPS system that does what you want your nav unit to do - and this get you from point A to point B. It has the same size screen as the Garmin nuvi 270 GPS (which is 3.5 inches) which is perfectly fine for viewing maps, even though widescreen navs are becoming more popular. Now I'm not saying it's perfect though, while it is a good GPS, it does have a few quirks that you need to be aware of.
What's good about the Garmin nuvi 370 GPS?
You are able to change the view of the map as you are driving and you have the option of putting in points along the way (for example the half way point if you want to stop at that distance to rest). It will show hotels and bars along your route as well. Even though the screen is only 3.5" it still seems very big and is easy to read. What's not so great about the Garmin nuvi 370 GPS?The holder that comes with it is a bit flimsy and I could see that it could snap quite easily. While you can still get replacement holder's from Garmin, perhaps they should make this one a bit sturdier to begin with. You can get updates for maps from Garmin, but they can be quite expensive. Some of the newer Garmin GPS unit's come with lifetime updates, but you will need to pay for them with this GPS. As with most of Garmin's great navigational systems, it's really easy to use. It's very intuitive about what you need to press to look at maps, enter coordinates or just get back to your own home address.
