The size of the screen is 3.5" which I personally prefer over the widescreen GPS models simply because it keeps the unit small and compact and you can easily fit it in your pocket (which is important because I would never leave it in my car). It's also very slim which again is great for portable travel. I even use this while walking in some areas that I'm not familiar with rather than use a map. If you are worried about someone seeing it and snatching it off you then you can hook up your headphones and place this in your pocket or handbag and just listen to the instructions. Everyone will just think that you are listening to music, they'll be none the wiser.

Just like the Garmin nuvi 270 GPS, the screen is bright and very easy to read. Even in direct sunlight you can see exactly where you need to go. This nuvi seems to pick up the satellites very quickly and remains locked in as you travel. The maps update constantly so you don't get any of the jerkiness of other navs, it's very smooth. The main features about the 350 that sets it apart from other sat navs is that it's very compact which is why I really like it (as I've already mentioned above). The text to speech feature is great, and I'd never use a GPS again that says to turn left in 200 metres. I want to know WHICH street I'm turning into!
